Anita Briem hails from Iceland. Anita Breim is an actor from Iceland. Briem was 9 when she began acting at Iceland's National Theater. When she was a young actress she appeared in a variety of plays broadcast on radio and television in her home country of Iceland. In the year 16 Briem was transferred to London to take part in an event for the theatre of the play Lenin In Love which was staged at The New End Theater. Briem got a spot at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art at the age of 19. Over the next three years, she was a student at the school and graduated with diplomas in drama and it was awarded the John Barton Prize for Scenic Fight. While studying at RADA he participated in numerous plays, including The Cherry Garden by Anton Chekhov as well as Bernarda Alba's home by Federico Garcia Lorca .
